SKILLS ASSESSMENT

LoBue's approach to assessing employee skills, gaps to requirements and training needs

THE NEED
  In an ever-changing business world, people are faced with more challenges then ever. Corporate consolidations, mergers and acquisition and a "do-more-with-less" attitude prevailing, jobs are changing and the gap is widening between the skills required and those held by the employee population, productivity falls, as well as morale and customer service.

Frustrated by an inability to do their job well employee's leave adversely impacting turnover and associated costs on top of the already eroding customer service and productivity levels.

THE SOLUTION
  LoBue consultants work with the client to:
  • Identify the skills required for each job function
  • Rate the proficiency required for each skill and job function
  • Survey the supervisors and management to rate the skill level and proficiency of each employee
  • Analyze the results of the survey with regard to:
    • Identification and/or Development of training opportunities to close skill gaps
    • Linkage of individual employees with appropriate training opportunities
    • Ongoing skills and training measurement

THE RESULTS
  Productivity is improved and turnover mitigated by enabling employees to gain the required skills to perform their jobs well. Expenses associated with low productivity and high turnover are minimized and customer service is enhanced.
