LOBUE TECHNOLOGY SERVICES STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL TECHNOLOGY PLANNING Construct business plans that determine the technology requirements, expenditures and projects that would support Business Strategic Plans resulting in the definition of the firm's technology vision, cost of technology and key prioritized project initiatives through the use of a cost-benefit model. TECHNICAL DUE DILIGENCE Conduct a thorough review of the IT related organization, facilities, cost, staff skills, applications diversity, functional capability, potential growth and maintainability for what is usually part of a business candidate for acquisition or merger. Compile analysis and construct recommendations that will deliver the diagnostic insight. INTERNET READINESS ANALYSIS Analyze an organization's readiness to deliver services and products through the Internet. Identify all relevant factors including cost/benefit model, products, market geography, potential client behavior, company infrastructure, types of delivery channels, company staff's technical proficiency, internal management culture and hurdles that must be overcome. Construct a model of the new environment, identify project plans, project methodology, resource requirements (including skills), project costs and project timetable. ENTERPRISE DATA MODEL AND INFORMATION MANAGEMENT Measure a company's current capabilities with respect to the quality and accessibility of information managed, recommend improvements enabled by the application of information technology consisting of building and enhancement of databases and data warehousing. PROJECT MANAGEMENT Project delivery on-time and on-budget through the assignment of knowledgeable Project Managers responsible for new projects or projects in need of course-correction, using proven, pro-active, control oriented methodology that ensures timely project successes. REQUIREMENTS (FUNCTIONAL) DEFINITION Define business requirements at the user level (functions and features) and/or at the detailed level (programming specifications) using methodology that is consistent with the standards of the client's IT organization (reusable objects, use cases method, data dictionary, functions and data modeling, etc.) and the needs of the client business units. TECHNICAL ARCHITECTURE DESIGN Develop the System Model identifying the most appropriate architecture consisting of the selection of platforms (hardware, software), databases, tools and languages, as well as in-house build or outside purchase decisions relying on a cost-benefit model. SYSTEM (PACKAGE) SELECTION Determine the best fitting system solution in response to identified business needs, by either selecting from several competing in-house systems or determining the most appropriate purchased package. The selection process relies on comparative industry data inventorying effectiveness and experience with various off-the-shelf business products. SYSTEM MIGRATION Plan and manage the upgrade, conversion or migration of applications systems from one platform to another. This service also covers the merging or integration of systems, although generally re-definition of business requirements and the re-validation of technical architecture precede system integration. DATA CENTER OPTIMIZATION Develop the optimal model for the operation of Data Center(s) including staffing, cost incurred, operations, logistics, service and quality levels. Additionally, design, validate, and recommend physical and data system security, backup, contingency and disaster recovery plans. DESKTOP STANDARDIZATION AND HELP DESK RATIONALIZATION Develop and implement cost effective, service-sensitive models for that portion of the business infrastructure represented by the desktop support and the help desk organization, including analysis of business requirements and outsource options. |
